Chocolate Pretzel Sticks

12 Feb

As part of my secret conspiracy to turn Mama into a stay-at-home Gaga so I can have a convenient babysitter to watch the kids while I spend my days more leisurely, I gave into Mama’s whim to do a “project” with the kids and make chocolate covered pretzels for Valentine’s Day.  She has been asking me to buy the ingredients for a few days, so I finally picked everything up yesterday and took the children over to Mama’s this morning to spend the morning creating with Gaga.

We really did have fun making simple, yummy pretzel rods covered in sprinkles.  All we did was melt some vanilla quik candy in the microwave, dip some long pretzel rods in the candy, then cover them in candy sprinkles.  The kids had their own separate plates and all of the broken pretzel pieces, so anyone who does happen to receive one of these from us doesn’t have to worry about catching their colds!

So we had a great morning with Gaga.  I don’t think I will be able to convince her to retire, though. It seems the world is working against me…
